1. Coordinate the cleaning with your move.
Gatta’s move-in and move-out service is designed for an empty home. Where possible, arrange the visit after belongings leave and before keys change hands. If you are moving in, cleaning before unpacking keeps cabinets and closets accessible.
Share the handover deadline when requesting a quote. An online request is not a confirmed appointment: wait for the team to agree on timing and access.
2. Empty cabinets and closets.
Cabinets and closets are included in the published move-cleaning scope. Remove belongings so the team can reach the areas you want cleaned. If some rooms or storage areas will remain occupied, explain that before the checklist is confirmed.
If furniture remains, Gatta’s pricing matrix specifies a 15% adjustment that must be confirmed with the team. The calculator does not ask about furniture, so include this detail in your request.
3. Confirm access and utilities.
- Agree on keys, entry codes or a lockbox.
- Explain building access, parking and any service-hour restrictions.
- Confirm water and electricity will be available.
- Let the team know if movers or contractors will also be present.
4. Select the extras you need.
Oven and refrigerator interiors are separate add-ons. Select them in the calculator if they are part of your handover plan. For other requirements, send the checklist in advance rather than assuming every item is covered by the service name.
5. Identify cleaning priorities and existing damage.
Tell Gatta about buildup, delicate finishes and marks that concern you. Share any property-manager checklist so the team can compare it with the requested scope. Cleaning and repairs are different tasks; clarify anything that may need a specialist.
6. Leave time for the handover.
Confirm the arrival window and how the property will be secured afterward. A cleaning appointment does not guarantee a landlord’s inspection decision or deposit outcome. Those also depend on property condition and requirements outside the cleaning scope.
